Suter sternwheeler build halted...
« on: August 10, 2005, 05:24:27 PM »
Just in case anyone is wondering what's happening with my model of the "Suter", it seems that things are conspiring against me to get any work done on her :-(

Some of you will know that we've had major problems with damp at home. This has meant that virtually all the downstairs of the house has had to be re-floored and numerous walls replastered etc. Now that the work has been completed, I've spent the last week redecorating the lounge, and the hall and staircase is next on the list...

My wife (who suffers from epilepsy) has to go into hospital next week for 6 days, so that will mean lots of journeys back and forth to the hospital while she's in there... And my youngest daughter (now 21 yrs old) has also been taking seizures recently - She's severely mentally and physically handicapped so needs a lot of care anyway.

And then I'll be away for a week on holiday - I think we're going to need it after the year we've had so far! :-)

So, the "Suter" really has had to take a back seat for a while! I hope to restart the build in the middle of september if everything goes to plan, but I thought I'd bring people up to date with what's happening, just in case you think I've abandoned her - I haven't!  I just need 9 days in a week, and then I could fit everything in!  :vacat
