I've been upgrading the "Forum Subscription" software for those that like to take their messages via email rather than logging onto the website.
Unfortunately, since it's beta software, it created a few problems which meant that no-one could post any messages for a few hours! Hopefully that is all now sorted.
The changes (if everything works okay!) will add the following features to the email messages:
#1. Usernames will now appear in the message header, so you can clearly see who posted the message rather than the kludge workaround that we have been using for a while.
#2. Any "Edited" messages will now be resent - previously if a message was edited the email subscribers never saw the updated message.
#3. Any files or images attached to messages should now be included as an attachment when the message is sent. It should also allow you to attach files (providing they are of a type which is allowed) to emails and they will be added to the message when it's processed.
I hope to god all the hard work has been worth it!! :-)
