A trio of European paddle steamer websites

For new members and existing ones, here are three important paddler
websites for you to take a look at. The owners are constantly
updating them and it's worth bookmarking them.

Gordon Stewart has done a masterful job at the Tramscape Website in
developing an online database of paddlesteamers which is superbly
laid out and provides an essential educational tool for any student
of these ships.

Not only are the British paddler fleets covered in depth, but there
is information on currently preserved and operating paddlers.

Tom Lee has also put together an impressive Website with many
photographs of famous British Paddlers at:

Finally, Martin Longhurst was the first person to scoop the

Excellent, Alistair...I just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours
there and I particularly liked the Webcams and this morning have
travelled to every Swiss and German Lake before breakfast! This is a
very authoritative site on Euro paddlers, extremely professionally
presented and is a definite bookmark. Thank you for posting it.

I almost forgot to mention Terry Cooper's Deltatango website which
originally started out with paddlers but has gone over more to a
study of British Piers. There are still some good paddler postcard
shots with a useful index of ships on the arrival page. Check it out
