I'm a new member of this group and I'm hoping that someone may be
able to help me gather some information about the HBC sternwheeler
North West which served on the Saskatchewan Rivers during the 1880s.
I would particularly like to find a source for drawings of this
vessel as I intend to build a 1/8" scale model. I have sent a query
to the HBC archives and I expect that they will be able to assist me
in obtaining photos..

Thank you

Dear Mr. Morton:

This is more of a test message than anything because I posted a long
reply to you in which I gave some useful research information on your
Saskatchewan River steamer "North West" along with my suggestions for
developing a set of plans. I even found an old article written by
Captain Peter McArthur's daughter.

Unfortunately it appears Yahoo has been bouncing all emails to me
recently and deleted my posting to you without allowing it to get to
the PD forum. Needless to say I was more than a little pi**ed, but
I'll try to get rewrite it during the next few days. I have now
reconfigured my Yahoo groups so lets see if this message gets posted.

Best regards

Dear Mr. Morton and PJ,
Can you let me know if you find any photos (Exterior/interior) of
the Sternwheeler, it would be much appreciated to add them to my
collection of details when we start on the design of the Spirit of
Waikato.
Many thanks in anticapation.

Regards
