More lots of two needed?

now hold on here !! - last week you suggested using the third
or centre mixer connection [relative to actual throttle
position but not proportionally controlled] & now you are
suggesting MORE TWO LOTS of things !!!!!! - last night I weighed
the seven electrical box's to date @ 800 gms & thats without
the speaker!!!!!

Might you be able to convert to 2 x 6V 7AHr batteries for your motors
instead? I have a couple of Yuasa's this size and they have a nice slim
profile to help keep weight down low in a model.

You might also be able to do away with the separate 12V battery
completely if you are cunning with your 2 x 6V batteries:
* connect these serially to get a 12V supply
* take centre taps for your independent 6V motor supplies

thanks - I take your points, but am using the 12 V x 3 A/H
battery also as ballast down aft, but also cross connecting
these would pose charging issues

The draw from the sound simulators and smoke generator wouldn't be much
more than 700mA so shouldn't represent too much of a drain relative to
paddle motors under load.

Although I'm a steam virgin, I'm inclining to think that Stuart has gone
down the simpler route by using a live steam plant and twin engines in
"Old Trafford", compared with us 'electroheads'!
