Alligator steam warping tug model Max
« on: June 20, 2005, 01:41:49 AM »
Can anyone shed some light on a pic I have of an Alligator model
called Max built by a John Brooks? Will post as requested.

I'm also looking for some info on a very large sternwheel propulsion
rig for a model about 8 foot (2.5 metres) in length.

TIA

Bryant

Bryant.
The Alligator tug is a very interesting beast and must have been quite a
machine to operate on the rivers with a mile of wire on its winch drum!!
If you go to the Paddleducks web page, files section, and put Alligator into
the search window, you will find a whole host of references and past
correspondence to Alligators. Hope that it proves interesting for you.
All the best
David
