Looking for plans
« on: June 19, 2005, 04:04:03 AM »
Does anyone out there have the following plans which I need for my
files and future building.
1. Plan from PBM kit (1970s) for Edwardian paddle steamer.
2. Plan from Billings kit of Hjellan.
3. Any plan by a long defunct Scottish kit manufacturer (1940/50s)
called SCOMOD of Glasgow, particularly Jeannie Deans and Waverley and
could anyone give me a list of other plans/kits which they produced?
I will gladly refund any copying/postage costs involved.
4. Details of any paddler plans published by Hobbies of Dereham
during the last hundred plus years! (A tall order as their archives
are non existant . They have all their publications, catalogues and
plans, but no catalogueing system). They published a fortnightly
craft magazine for almost a hundred years, so you can see the problem
they have. They have told me that if I can come up with a ship name
and possible date of publication they could probably fing the
plan/article. Thank you in anticipation, Walter

Thanks mike, I will be in touch re a copy of the Hjellan plan. I
already have Waverley in several scales but I am specificaly looking
for the SCOMOD plan of her in connection with my interest in the
history of model boatbuilding. Thanks again, Walter
