The wheel turned up with the Courier Post lady today before I had even had time to eat breakfast! Looks as good as it did in the photos thanks Barry. Now I am looking for some advice from those who have run sternwheelers about the depth to set the wheel at. The stern of the hull tapers upwards, presumably to allow water to flow to the wheel. My inclination is to set the bottom of the floats in line with the bottom of the hull and then to put a couple of skegs on the hull so that they ground before the wheel does if she were to run aground. I also though I would ballast her to a waterline that put the top of the floats just below water but this is all guesswork. Any suggestsions as to whether (and why) the wheel should be level with or below the hull, set shallow or set deep in the water etc would be most welcome. Thanks, Ian.
