http://home.vicnet.net.au/~spmbcI attended today, and stayed longer than I intended, discussing paddle boats (large and model), steam propulsion, stability...
This was naval day, so most of the boats were of navy originals.
There was one paddlesteamer there (electric power): PS Adelaide, about 1.2 m long.
I was told that only about 5% of the boats owned by members were at the site that day; members have about 15-20 paddlesteamers, covering all of the surviving older ones on Murray River. At least one is steam powered (butane burner).
The council restricts boating to those powered by sail, electricity or steam: what else is left for model boats?
