I wish I could join you, guys...I loved my trip aboard "Waverley" two
years ago...it's a day I shall NEVER forget, expecially meeting a
number of the members from our Paddleducks group whose company I so
much enjoyed.

For those of you ever visiting the UK a trip aboard "Waverley" is a
MUST, as she is the last sea-going passenger paddle steamer in the
world. Her engine room is highly accessible and it's a mechanical
marvel to behold her triple expansion steam engine in motion. Once
you've been aboard "Waverley" you get hooked on paddlers for life!

Her smaller sister "Kingswear Castle" also operates on the River
Thames and under complete restoration is "Maid of the Loch" on Loch
Lomond.

One can only hope fervently that one day the glorious "Medway Queen"
and the southern paddler "Ryde" will one day similarly join the ranks
of Britain's fully operating paddle steamers.

Have a great day out on "Waverley", Eddy and Walter...and please TAKE
PICTURES to send us!
