Joe the only data I have is the boat was assembled out here in at a
place called Mannum in South Australia in 1916 Loa is 116 ft. Beam 13.
2 ft. Depth 4.8 ft.

Peter/Joe - according to 'Ships of the Inland Rivers' - page 58 & 59 [which I will post a copy with
the detail of the Lady Darling], I quote

'Captain Stuart - A swp, said to measure 800g & 500n tons, but these figures obviously are very
inflated. 116.0x27.5x4.8, 135' OA, 3'3" draft'

'Hull built in Cincinitti, USA - imported in sections & assembled near Mannum during 1915'

'Reassembled under the direction of an American engineer R.C.Cutting. Launched in 1916 &
towed to Blanchtown where her upper works were constructed'

I will also photocopy a small photograph of swp Captain Stuart as it appears she has a conventional
pointed bow, however has what appear to be an atwart ship beam accross the bow with two pushing
posts mounted on that beam & comparing the size of the adult person on the bow the vertical pushing
posts could be 4' high x say 14' centers - Derek
