I am making plans for a model of  a lake paddler of 1856, which had british-made engines and boilers. Those were originally made for steamer "Storfursten" which came to Finland 1837. She measured 123x19,4x9 feet. The builder of the hull was Fletcher & Faershell in London. Machinery of 80 hp and two boilers were made by Mauldsberg & Field, London.
I would like to build the boilers and machine to my model, but have no idea, how they looked like. If someone of the members of the paddleducks knows something of the subject, please, let me know.

Could the engines have been built by "Maudsley Sons  & Field"? They were a well-known London company who built many marine engines.

Hello Rick!
The name of the builder of engines comes from old newspapers. It is possible that the name was shortened. Is there some records left about Maudsley Sons & Fields? What about  plans about old engines?.

Sorry Jorma,but I know very little about this company (I think I should have spelt it "Maudslay") but they were  famous engineers and built many marine engines.

I have some engine drawings from an old book, but they are all much bigger than the one you are interested in, but I'll scan them for you if you want them.
