Hello Folks, Bob and me have just returned from the Paddlesteamer Presevation Society AGM held aboard the Paddlesteramer MAID OF THE LOCH held Yesterday (Saturday). After a super lunch aboard the AGM got underway with the attending members worried as to whether the ships would sail next year or be laid up in mothballs due to the third abbysmal years sailing in a row. (Three years of terrible weather causing cancellations PLUS unforseen time in dry dock due to problems). WELL the news is good! thanks to the heroic efforts of the various committees and members digging deap into their own strained pockets for donations PLUS a  very generous benefactor (using part of a lottery win) to guarantee all of next season, all three of our preserved ships will sail for another full season. I left the AGM walking on air!. Also, Waverley will be dry docked before the season starts so that any problems do not eat into the sailing season. My congratulation to everyone who worked so hard and l;ong behind the scene to secure another year.
So Hans, start planning for the WESTERN ISLES sailing next year= we will be with you.!. Regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

I also forgot to mention- next year is the 200th anniversary of the sailing of the PS COMET, the first open water paddle steamer. Now isnt that something to be proud of?. Waverley sailing in the same waters on such an auspitious anniversary?. The omens are good!. so hats off and three cheers for such a proud event. Regards, Walter.
