Brass paddle wheels

Saw this paddle model at a recent model engineering meeting. Independent drive to each wheel and no rudder. Owner says that it works well. Interesting wheel design with fixed floats riveted between the two wheel discs. Unsure if the holes are to release surplus water or just to reduce weight

Hi PD's.....I think both Walter & Sandy [from ACS] :gathering  would see the design as taken from the sound board of a Washbourne guitar

Appears to be T jointed & soft soldered on the inboard flange & L jointed & riveted on the outer flange :towel....Derek

Yup. Thats definately a scaled down resonator from a Dobro (steel Guitar). Bet those wheels sound good! Regards, Walter.
