Dear friends and neighbors,

It`s a joy, to see our blog in this modernized get up. But here a question of automatic tranlations: I write my posts in English language, but when I open our blog, there  all is translated automatic in german language, also all posts of our members, all informations and titles - nothing is still in English. For me I would prefer to Write and read in English, because I want to maintain my knowledge of English language.

Is there any possibility to stop the automatic german translation and if yes - how I can do this?

Thomas......in an earlier version of this software, we were able to create and edit our own forum profile & preferences

My settings were/are such to receive all inward posts in the English language

Having said this, I too cannot find the location here to alter my own detailed profile settings, apart from the limited profile settings available from double clicking my own 'UserBox' icon

G'day Thomas,

What browser are you using?

I suspect this may actually be your browser automatically translating the forum, rather than something the forum itself is doing. Chrome, for example, can be set to automatically translate English-language websites into your preferred language.

If you're using Chrome, have a look for the Translate icon in the address bar. Click that, then the three dots in the translation popup, and you should be able to select **"Never translate this site"**.

Alternatively, you can go to Chrome's three-dot menu in the top right, then **Settings → Languages**, and check your translation settings there.

It's possible the recent forum upgrade has changed the language information that the site sends to the browser, which has caused Chrome to start recognising it as an English-language site and automatically translating it.

If you're using a different browser, let me know which one and I'll see where the equivalent setting is. :)

Regards,

Damien
