Hello

This old coot is a newbie who hails from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. I have always liked the paddle wheel riverboats so I am thinking about building a model to paddle around the local retention ponds with grandkids and to take to the model regatta when snowbirding.

Of course as a newbie I am doing tons of research right now to select best choice. This site seems to have just about everything I need for early research and to start planning.  Love the build logs.

As I am a fairly competent woodworker I am thinking  I will probably opt for scratch build, this way the inevitable mistakes won't end up ruining an expensive kit. The project  will provider plenty to keep me occupied ( maybe more important than the finished product).
