From Australia, the second photo looks just right.

More to the point: is this the lake at the peak of Brunig Pass, where the one lakes drains northwards into the Rhine, and southwards into a short river via Poschiavo to the Adriatic?  If so, is this the highest altitude at which a Paddleducker has launched a model?  Lake Titicaca (Peru/Bolivia) would beat it, but we have no members there.

Hi PD's,

both photo's were taken at the Grimselpass, the altitude is 2165m, after two hours at this lake i chanced to the Nufenenpass and sailed there with my model Mull of Kintyre the altitude there is 2478m :wink: maybe the highest sailing ever with a paddle steamer model untill i find a higher lake. Later the same day i went to the St. Gotthardpass and sailed with the Glasgow the altitude there is 2108m. Today we had some snow down to 1800m so my sailings from last weekend also the last at this level for this year :cry:
