A bit of balancing magic needed as besides the list she's stern heavy hopefully fixed with with the placement of batteries, Rx and speed controller.

Started on the rudder fittings 4 - 6mm dia pulleys  and the tiller arm. The shape of the stern cabin limits choices for activating the tiller at present the servo horn and tiller arm will be aligned with the the bow, I'll dig out a Tx, Rx and battery To determine if the servo horn needs to be reversed for correct Tx stick to rudder movement so I can select placement for the pulleys an their small towers.

Cleaned and vacuumed the shed yesterday when finished the shed gremlins had made off with the tiller arm, the four pulleys were still there though.
Made another arm today after searching thru the vac bag and the rubbish bin without finding the missing arm.

Drilled and tapped the tiller arm 3mm for the grub screw, started cutting scrap 10mm x 7mm pine for the pulley mounts and forgot how big my butt is and knocked the motor beam assembly to the concrete floor smashing the motor mount pivot assembly hinge points.

Repairs went well.





Servo to tiller pulleys and cord added and mounted a quick test showed it works well.
With a small spring on either side of the fitting on the servo arm maintaining tension on the braided cord the same cord used on funnel  and mats stays.

Couldn't get anymore done as we had a major catastrophe one ear on Jo's computer headphones died been expecting it as mine died a fortnight ago not a bad run from Sennheiser headphones salvaged 35 years ago from the waste bin at 3ccc then a local community radio where I was a technician and rewired not surprised really the stereo cord I rewired with was rather brittle after after so long.
I had an emergency run to Kmart for headphones  lol

Finally success with the test tank four tries and 400ml of resin later and no leaks.

Red ochre primer on the wheels a few days to dry & I'll spray them with satin clear.

I found a few spots on the wheels that were lite on primer coverage so touched them up today.

Then thinking on weight placement of batteries, ESC & Rx I removed most of bulkhead 2 to give more room closer to bow for weight placement a 20mm saw in dremel made easy work of the bulkhead & a 12mm sanding drum in dremel cleaned it up.

Hmmm battery packs to be decided in float test as 10-3000 Ma AA pack weighs 173g where the 10-6000Ma sub C's weigh 398g

4 rare earth magnets one to each corner to hold the the upper decks in place.

Paddles ready for use.



I've struck a problem worked at it for 2 1/2 hours without a fix The upper decks sit in place perfectly and the magnets hold well when I add the motor assembly with or without the wheels the upper decks no longer fit correctly and rock up & down with the approximate axle position as the pivot point it has me stumped nothing on the upper structure is in contact with the axle or motor assembly.
