An extremely poor quality photo of Walter Snowdons model of the Bohemia undergoing testing at the Darlington club yesterday (wed 2nd May 2007).

For something that is so small and narrow in the beam it performed very well indeed!

Thanks David. You see her as unfinished with all the white areas to paint and a lot of added detail to be added. This was her miaden run to test stability and handling. She turns full circle in about five times her length. Now a plea for help. i am looking for PLASTIC (saves weight) figures of civilians for the period 1820-1860 especialy women to fill her decks- anyone seen any boxes of unpainted figures in 1/35th scale (or close to)things like wagon train or camp followers would be ideal. So far I have drawn a blank so anyone out there who knows of a source let me know. (not prepainted railway figures likr PREISER they are too expensive to butcher!  regards, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Hi Walter,
When my son built his Bohemia I got him some victorian figures from Aiden Campbell. He sells mostly railway items but these were in scale compaired to the boat. They are thought made of white metal but cost just over £1 each.

A few more photos of Walters Bohemia - Now almost complete. Just a few minor bits to sort out ready for our paddler day on 17th June.

For a very small model it sails extremely well, and it has a superb turning circle by paddler standards!

Apologies for the poor quality photos, I only had my mobile phone with me to take them with...
