Looking great Gary, the way I see the plan is 16 athwart hull sponson beams.......

Do you plan to set the hull up on the [metal] machine milling table & mill the 3.3 x 4.4 slots for the beams...& all in each single pass?....

Would be a super way of ensuring trueness, alignment & squareness & also between port & stdb sides....etc ... Derek

G'day Gents a couple pic of the progress of fitting the deck timbers I have started fitting the deck sheeting onto which I am going to glue the planks to the ply is 1/16" & the planks will also be 1/16" Progress has been slow as I am also   working on my 5" loco build

G'day all its been a while since I have made any progress on the Adelaide been working on other projects the main reason I stopped work on the build was the steam plant I was going to install in it was going to be to big not enough room & way over powered it would be like putting a V8 motor into a Mini Minor I was going to scrap the build & start another build but decided I had put to much work into it so I am going to finish it & install twin electric motors which will be controlled buy a Sabertooth motor controller as used in robotics with a normal R/C remote transmitter I will try & post some picof progress

G'day All progress on the Adelaide's super structure I have made the rear  cover removable to allow access to the radio gear I plan to make the whole super structure removable by fitting 4mm dowels to all the support posts for easy access to the motors

G'day All  Thanks Damien its coming along slowly making a few mistakes along the way but learning better ways of doing things when the Adelaide is finished I have a set of plans for the Osca W I will scale it up from 1/24  to 1/20 same scale as the Adelaide I have already started collecting materials when on a recent holiday to south Australia I called into Koondrook on the Victorian side of the Murray River it has the last remaining saw mill that has a licence to harvest Murray river red gum timber the same material that most of the paddle steamers were made off .I was able to scrounge a slab of red gum for the next build it is kiln dried & as hard as nails will have to get a new carbide saw blade before cutting

Hi All work on the paddle box detail before  anybody comments about the paddle box access hatch is incorrect I only picked it up when I went to photograph it and the glue had already set  as it will be hard to see once installed it will have to do
