Hello Folks. Eddy, Bob Golder and me went to Chatham for the Paddlesteamer Preservation Society AGM, setting out two days early so that we could go to the Dockyard Museum BUT it was closed! So a visit to the PS KINGSWEAR CASTLE on Friday saw all three of us on the crew list! Polishing brasswork and generaly helping out. (As well as polishing Eddy refitted the bridge companion steps!) The tea and dundee cake flowed freely as did the non-stop conversation- a day to cherish forever. Next day we signed on as crew for the PsPs cruise- about 100+ true enthusiasts reading like a whos who of paddler preservation. Another superb day. The icing on the cake was a visit to see Andrew Gladwell,  PsPs archivist, in the archives. I was like  a drunk in a brewery. Thousands of photographs, parts from long gone paddlers, masses of timtables, handbills, tickets etc.Andy is doing a fantastic job of sorting and listing all the items and is happy to answer any email for British paddler information, though a great deal of it is still unsorted. It is an overwhelming job for one man! A great day all round. Thanks to all the Kingswear Castle mob who made us so welcome and Andy for opening Aladdins Cave for us. Regards, walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Yes a great few days away Walter.... It was a shame that the dockyard museum was closed, but getting to work on KC more than made up for it!

And just to prove that I actually did do some work, I still have aches in places that I never knew I had!!

Regards
Eddy
~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Hello all,  :whistle  sadly there doesn't appear to be any photographic proof coming forward. As to aches and pain, he has always got them!
