Dear members

I heard the sad news today that it appears that the Reliant (ex Old Trafford and National Maritime Museum Exhibit) has been scrapped. One Engine is now on display at the NMM and the other has been sold to Markham Grange Steam Museum, Near Doncaster, S Yorks, where it is undergoing extensive restoration with a view to putting it back in steam.

Stuart.
Which makes your super model even more relevant.
Let's hope that something can be done about the John H. Amos before that
rusts completely away and sinks out of sight for ever, or the museum gets
its hands on it.
Incidentally there is huge paddle engine (under cover, but not in steam) at
the Hollycombe Steam collection, not far from you.
Drop in here for more details http://www.hollycombe.co.uk/

All the best.
David
