Dear friends and neighbors,

when a man has celebrate his 70. birthday, this also is a good chance to make some retrospective views of passed steps of live. Here some pictures of my first model, a Robbe Kit of tugboat "Hamburg II". I made this boat from Chrismas 1965 to March 1966 with R/C. Last picture was taken in September 1965 with fathers "Seestern", renamed "Thomas". The "Hamburg", now "Bullenbaum" and also the "Thomas" I restored in the last year, you will find the reports at my last posts in 2022.

Now at my 70. Birthday even a long time wish came to fulfillment: An antique Citroen 11 CV car in good condition. I hope, I will be able for ship- and steammodelling, painting and driving for further several years - may be 20 years!

Best wishes to all of you

Thomas

Hi Derek,

old cars are leaking a little bit - one to two drops after driving. I think, the reasons are in the construction of engine. The construction of Citroen 11 CV with front wheel drive lasted to 1934, nearly 90 years ago. The car got a new technical control (in Germany valid for 2 years) and is in good condition.
First speed isn`t syncronised and the transmission must have a little break between the second and third speed. With 56 hp it should be possible to reach a maximum speed of 115 - 120 km/h, but then the sound of engine is rather loud. I will drive rather seldom on a german Autobahn and when, only between 90 - 95 km/h. Most relaxing is a speed of 80 km/h on highways.
