SMML is a 700 strong email list run by Shane and Lorna Jenkins who
live in Oz. This is the unofficial "official" global forum for
plastic ship modelers all over the world and many list members belong
to various chapters of the IPMS (International Plastic Modelers
Society).
By definition this means these people REALLY know what they're doing
when it comes to accuracy and (usually small scale) static
plastic model shipbuilding. It includes some of the finest builders
of plastic/resin models in the world, well known editors and authors,
and also owners of companies who supply the plastic/resin model ship
kit aftermarket.
Although the main focus is warships, virtually all maritime subjects
and eras are covered. This is also a good resource for "how to"
modeling tips and scale model ship product information. Messages come
in the form of a daily digest.
