Author Topic: question on Malcolm Beak 3 cylinder oscillator paddle engine  (Read 4333 times)

Sorry if it's been asked before but I tried searching first.

On the notes for this engine under 1 - End Plate, it states that the only important dimension is 3" between holes for the valve shaft and the crankshaft. However the dimensioned plan shows this dimension as 2 3/4".  Which is correct?  I have made the cylinder parts first but need clarification on this critical dimension.

Thanks
Pete

No need to apologise Pete

I’ve just measured my engine and the 2 ¾” is correct. I see it has been four years since the drawings went into the downloads and they have been downloaded over 70 times and nobody has commented on the error.
If you find any more errors please let me know.
Unfortunately I don’t know how to correct anything in the downloads – can anyone help?

Malcolm

Thanks Malcolm,

Some of the fora? I belong to hate the same questions being repeated - hence the apology.  Many thanks for checking the dimension will hopefully get back to cutting metal next wekend
