HMS Volcano paddle tug

Does anyone have or know where I could find some good photos of the HMS Volcano? I am going to start building one soon and I would like to make it as true to scale as my abilities allow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello Dan,
I'm afraid i can't really help on this question other than to suggest a Google search which you have probably already done.
There are others on here that have either built on Marks Hull or from scratch so i wouldn't give up hope on the info being available.
I am aware that there are National Maritime Museum Drawings available for her.

Sorry not much help.
Regards,
Kim

Hi Dan.

There are very few photo's around and a Google search will show them up.
I have just started a build using Marks Hull and photo's to follow in a few weeks on the Construction site.
I am making the Dromedary from the model that was in the Science Museum in London, Sadly not there now.

  Prentice.

Thanks Kim and Prentice for the reply. Prentice, I look forward to seeing the photos of your build. I probably won't be starting mine until after the new year. I have found a couple of black and white pictures online. They don't give me any color info on what colours it was painted.

Not any help on colours Dan, but the RFA site is probably the best place for photos of any of their vessels.  There are plenty of photos of Volatile/Volcano and the rest of the Dromedary class there.

All the best
