Hi
New to the forum.I live near Philadelphia, PA USA.
I've been building engines for a bit less than three years. To be truthful, 3 years ago, I thought Bridgeport was a town in Connecticut and a mill was where flour was put into bags. Now, my basement shop has a 1968 Bridgeport Series I and having just sold my first lathe, replaced it with a 13x30 Grizzly.
Most of the 14 engines I've built are Elmer Verburg designs, a few are Bill Reichart designed, add in a Liney or two, and the current project, my first from castings, a ΒΌ scale Rider Ericsson Hot Air Pumping Engine. A boiler and feed pump also got mixed in there somewhere.
I learn something new each time I go to the shop and try to make each engine a bit better than the last.
Here's my version of Elmer's Pumping Engine, done a bit less than a year ago.
Glad to be aboard.
