I am a retired miner and mechanic and am recovering from recent back surgery. This led me to small machines and small machining projects. I'm currently rebuilding a Unimat lathe and making another into a dedicated micro mill.
I found the site in a search for engines and small machining techniques. I hope to be able to contribute something useful soon.

Hi Ken
I recently put my Unimat back into use after some years rusting in a shed. Are you aware of the Unimat groups on Yahoo?

All the best

Yes, thank you. I got a lot of ideas from those sites. I'm making a hybrid machine with Taig and Sherline accessories and some shop made stuff. If there's interest I could post some pics of the progress. I'm not sure if that's appropriate or where to put it if it is.
