Just stumbled across this site and been reading what's going on. I'm building a 17 foot steamer and have been toying with the idea of making her a side wheeler! The hull is complete but with only a little more wood work it could be easily converted to side wheels rather than a prop. I'll keep reading what other people are doing before I make my mind up for certain. Cheers.

Well just to be different, as if paddles aren't different enough, I was hoping to build a beam engine! Most of the machinery we have around home is a bit out of the ordinary anyway so why not a nice low revving beam! I can only find one on YouTube so I wonder if there's any others about.
