Sailing Day in New Zealand
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:59:06 PM »
A link to a sailing day at Turtle Lake, Hamiton, New Zealand a few weeks ago - http://youtu.be/tSjoT_bqvs0
If the link does not work for you go to www.ohope.co.nz , click to enter the site and then click on the link "Waihi Group go to Turtle Lake with steam boats" video. The footage was shot with a small camera attached to the front of the rescue boat. Early in the footage you will see my River Queen with Graham Ind single cylinder and also a steam powered model of an Auckland Harbour paddler ferry called Brittania which is yet to have its superstructure fitted. Later there is some footage of my steam powered Waimarie paddler. Seems odd to talk about it being such a hot day that the steam did not show in the air as well as it sometimes does when the same weekend parts of Australia and the UK were having troubles with flooding. We now have an official drought in some parts of the country! Cheers, Ian.
