Hello from Somerset
« on: March 02, 2013, 10:57:36 PM »
Good morning to you all.
I scared myself the other evening by thinking back to 50 years of various modelling from aircraft, helicopters, boats, submarines and latterly 1/6 tanks, with a tethered beastie and a hovercraft thrown in. Suddenly i feel very old at 59 with nothing in my shed sorry workshop, other than a 1/32 scale armed Trawler..... everything else has been built for someone else or sold.
Anyway, other than a Glasgow kit a few years ago ( bought tax free in Germany, with my least favourite model part...... ABS.) ive never had a go at a paddler. This time ive bought a Volcano hull and fittings from MMB, soon to be paired with the excellent looking wood parts ( i hope) from Clyde Model Boats. I love the older boat subjects and this would seem to fit the bill.
Ive trawled the site for further info and look forward to learning more and perhaps adding a few pics of a weathered Dromadery Class Tug in the not too distant future.
