Paddle Steamer Kit
«
on:

Having just joined you earlier today and now browsing the web and contemplating 2013 projects, I've just come across this Paddle steamer kit from Forest - Classics -(
http://www.forest-classics.co.uk/paddle_steamer.htm
) it seems very reasonably priced and I wondered if anyone out there had any knowledge or experience of it ?
Best Wishes for 2013 to you all
Regards
Chris

That's the old
PBM Edwardian Paddler
that has been rebranded.... It was a very popular kit in it's day. A little on the small side to my way of thinking, so it tends to be a little bit
tender
on the water.
Build it light, and keep the weight low, and it does produce a reasonable model.
Regards, and welcome to Paddleducks

I built one of the PBM kits of this back in the 70's. But didn't it have injection moulded feathering paddle wheels back then. Sorta similar to the Graupner "Glasgow" ones? But no bolts and smaller.
cheers
