Hi from Lyme Regis UK
« on: January 07, 2013, 08:11:42 PM »
I'm Chris

Just reintroduced myself to Model Boats in the last 5 years by restoring firstly an Adamcraft Seaplane Tender built by my father in 1953 and found very damaged in the loft at my Mothers house when we were clearing it. Followed by 3 other restorations of e-bay wrecks and a scratch built Springer. I've now  just about finished repairing of a damaged Micro Magic and am thinking about the next project.

I've been facinated by Paddle Boats ever since being sick on a daytrip from Weymouth on the Waverly back in the 1950's so thought I'd join you to find out a   bit more.

I live in Lyme Regis and sail both with Exeter & District MBC and also Weymouth & Portland MBC.

Best wishes
Chris

Hi Chris and welcome from me as well.

I was on that trip in the 50's.  So, it was you, was it ?   :D     I have since built my own version of the Waverley and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's a great hobby. Have fun

Ken
