After an 18 month build time I thought it may be of interest to other members to see my efforts.
This is a 1/48 scale model of Jeanie Deans, a sizeable lump at 65 inches long.
Mainly constructed from photographs obtained from the various web sites and that which I was able to glean from topics on Paddleducks.
I have used six channels to operate her, obviously one for throttle which is linked to a steam generator and synchronized to chuff rate as throttle is increased, which then operates steam unit ,so the faster the boat moves the more steam is generated. I have equipped her with full running lights and switchable cabin lights in orange LED's to imitate the glow of gas lamps. A large loud Foghorn ensures a clear passage through the water if needed, and to keep the 102 crew and passengers happy I have jazz music of the time playing once she leaves port. All this operates via a Planet T5 radio system
