Larry, you can still purchase ladder chain and sprokets from MFA but don't try and use it with meccano sprockets get the appropriate sprockets.

Hi Larry,
I don't like doing this but nobody else is offering the information ... so here goes ...

I sell 300rpm planetary geared motors which are quiet and low drain ... send me an email if your interested.
If you already know this and have chosen not to come to me then please accept my apologise.

Regards,
Kim

Hi PD's........Larry....I have no financial interest here :nono....but do suggest you consider..... :whistle

1. planetary geared motors have excellent torque output
2. they are certainly very quiet
3. also importantly....due to the design are low current consumption  :weight

So a 300 RPM output speed & a 2:1 chain reduction would bring you to near optimal max paddle shaft speed [150 RPM]

We all understand $ are tight these days  :sorry ...but if you could invest in a modestly rated electronic speed controller....you would be set  :08

This would see your Lulonga accelerate from rest in a majastic style to full RPM :hammer if necessary to compensate for tide or windage ........

The Lulonga is a fictional boat Larry, designed by Dave Metcalf as a "generic" type of vessel that may have been used in Africa....

Your model is looking good so far, and since there isn't a full sized prototype you have the option of adding whatever detail you think looks right....

Hi Larry,
i have noted your requests for help here & on Mayhem. I don't mind helping but when i have to chase posts to find out whats new or what you need help with then i do start to loose interest a little.

I can understand your reasoning on credit cards online ...
But when you ask for info ... get info (direct Link) to Barry's wheels ... which would have been ideal!  ..... don't respond ... ask on other forums (get same info! ... Barry's wheels) ..... then blame credit cards ... well my inclination to help ebb's.

I know that is really negative but please treat us with a little respect! ...

(My thoughts only and not the thoughts of the forum)

Regards,
Kim

Hi Larry,

I think that it would be a great shame if you decide to leave paddleducks, I have watch your build with interest and look forward to its completion, you are not far for me and as I have a lulonga it might be possible to see the Two together in the future.

I would certainly be sad to see no more build articles.

Keep up the good work, and keep posting

Regards Graham

i made comment on id theft on line shopping which i do not trust,
if any body as gone through what i went through it was a very bad experience and i would not
put any body through it , it made my wife very ill ,  but its over now thank goodness,
