Hi Larry

So really......you're a 'cabinet poser'!!  NO INSULT INTENDED....JUST JOKING!

With that life experience I am also not surprised at your proficiency in this new area of skill deployment!

Your model is coming along great and I always scan your posts.

Cheers.........Bernie

Hi Larry,

Your woodworking skills are showing through again.  You've been rumbled.

I too, am watching with interest as you're doing a great job. Keep the questions coming as we'd all like to feel part of your build.  :bravo

She looks like she will take the weight OK. Nice hull shape.  Have you tried the float test yet ?  This might build your confidence on what can be added safely.

Hi Again Larry,

The drive chain and sprockets used are now Meccano ones with a 2: 1 reduction. There is plenty of chain and Sprockets available on Ebay.

Regards Graham

Hi Larry,

The sprockets are meccano No 95 and No 96 these are 2 inch and 1 inch, but there are also No 95a and No 96a options which are 1.5 inch and 0.75 inch only these are harder to find, Ebay has plenty of the first two but not so man of the second pair.

The motors are Como Drill 919D with a 50:1 gearbox, a lighter version is the 918d but ratio's on the gearbox is is not as good. Search the web for Como Drill and you will find there site and all there information in PDF format which you can take down and print, the web page is:-

http://mfacomodrills.com/gearboxes/gearboxes.html

The speed controllers are Action 20Amp ones but any good controller will work.

Hope this helps Graham
