With the ever increasing cost of fuel worldwide, I thought this just about summed it up :D

the only way that this government will take any notice of the general populous of this country is if they are reminded of 1926

then they might take notice and listen.

Hello all, that was a great pic of the fuel prices sign maybe I should take one of the three service stations in Lerwick where there is a minimal variation of £0.01 / L over the option of which station to use. Then the variation between regular unleaded or Diesel is only £0.03 /L which is far less variation than you see on the mainland. We are standing at £ !  1.46.9 / L for unleaded and £ 1.49.9/L on diesel . It is way too much to expect the public to continue supporting the robbing $£%$£%£$'s in Whitehall (Government departments offices for non UK members) to pay the outrageous UK taxes on lifeline fuels. Note tisi is also before the next UK budget due in two days time where there is a proposal to increase the fule duty by $ 0.03 / L then to add insult to ingury it is also liable to a further VAT levy! Absolutely incredible!!

And to add even more injury to the battered and bruised psyche of the Shetlanders is that we are surrounded by the UK Oilfields!

Sorry guys rant over

cheers

Jim

Hello guys, on top of that your possible increase of income will be based on the CPI, whilst the  payment to the powers to be will be based on the RPI, this will be about 2% higher than the former of course!
I do believe at times, nothing short of a “French Style Revolution” will sort out this lot; I am not normally a violent man, so stop short of heads rolling!! Hmm—well maybe a few I can think of at this moment of time would not go amiss!
