SWPV Finlandia Queen (Finland)
« on: November 04, 2010, 04:01:45 PM »
There was a flurry of posting about this vessel in 2007.

Jorma Tuomi-Nikula
Elias Lonnrot and Finlandia Queen are in service on Finnish lakes.  Finlandia Princess is sold to Germany some years ago. Ilmarinen is the first paddler on our lake-system.

Here is a photo at Tampere (Finland), apparently taken in 2000:

This is but one in a folio of 11 of various tourist paddleboats at

The watermark to this site has to be Swiss, not Finnish:

www.simplonpc.co.uk is a UK site, run by Ian Boyle, publisher of a lot of shipping postcards under the Simplon Postcards brand.
This was so called because his first card was the Lake Geneva paddle steamer SIMPLON
