Steve Reynolds is interested in vessels concerning local history & shipwrecks. Presently researching early days of the Amphibious and designer of the twin screws, William Warren. Also interested re Decoy, Ulonga & others in SA.

Hi Derek
Thanks for replying.
Yes. I met Dick & Wendy a few years ago too. Also went on board. I wrote an article which can be found at

Hi again Derek
As you will see, I already have some photos of the Decoy. I would, however, like to use your photo in another article, if that is OK with you, please.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve,
In the search window on the sidebar, search on Akuna Amphibious: it brings up 12 threads.
I haven't found the ones which show my photos, but they will be somewhere in an APAM thread.
I have cruised alongside twice, and photographed at the home mooring on two voyages.
I am not sure which photos I have posted, and which I haven't, but I can keep adding to my recent thread in 'Preserved Paddleboats'.
The price is now down to AUD495 000. River gossip is that hull work is needed. You might yet strike a harder bargain, and become the new owner.
Regards,

I'm back again, this time as a member. I'm looking for details re supposed sale of engine(s) from PS Jupiter to Japanese for scrap. The engines were said to be in good running order and from the Lady Augusta too.

Akuna Amphibious
was sold; the new owners have reverted to
Amphibious
.
It was slipped (IIRC at Bromhead's Mannum slip).
I met them at some event, possibly Renmark for the PS
Industry
centenary.
They voyaged to Mildura in Aug.-Sept.12 for the PS
Melbourne
centenary.
I am not sure where the normal mooring is.
