Clark, the attention to detail is superb.  Hope you manage to finish the model on time for the show.  When and where will this be?

Thanks guys for your interest and comment. Its been a bit of trial and error as it is the first time I have used split pin type stanchions - I got good progress tonight on the starboard paddlebox area so will be moving on to the deck edge rails asap.
Robert, the model show is a small local one in the Burgh Hall in Dunoon, with models (not all maritime) from the Cowal area. I'm not sure of the exact date yet, either the 9th or 16th Novemeber, hopefully I will find out over this weekend, but I'm off work both weekends anyway!

Hi all,
Just a final update on progress - construction of the model has been completed recently - although no motor/batteries are fitted at present and she has not sailed yet. I have another project to complete and that is going to be finished first.
Personally i like puting the finishing touches to a model as it seems to come to life,
I had a bit of a problem making the paddlebox crests, thankfully after getting permission to scan Robert's fantastic painting on page 2 of this thread, I was able to shrink the image to make small crests, photo paper mounted on plasticard backing and varnished.
Here are a few not very good pics....I will try to get some better ones soon
cheers for now,
Clark

Brilliant finish Clark. Good to see her completed. Any pictures of her on the water?

What's next? Do you plan to finish off your Locheil?

Clark,
The model looks superb.  Glad that you managed to make use of the crest photos for your paddle boxes.  From your photographs it does look like they turned out very well and they certainly complete the paddle boxes to your usual standard of workmanship.

This model is going to look great in the water.  Look forward to the next set of photos of the paddler in action.

You must be very pleased with your efforts and the final result.  A great achievement. Well done indeed.

Robert
