Hi Clark,Think you were right going with Plasticard ... no point in recommending Laser cutting to you as you are a whizz kidd with a scalpel
Hi guys,Thanks for all the help/suggestions re the crests. Much appreciated.I guess on the model they will be roughly about 45mm x 25mm or thereabouts. They were quite a focal point on the real ship, they were taken off the during the winter to prevent damage in storms.I will fire off an email to the SMM today and see if they can tell me where it is (stored) and if I can get access to it for some measurements and photos, and take it from there.Quote from: Talisman on January 28, 2012, 09:41:31 AMHi Clark,Think you were right going with Plasticard ... no point in recommending Laser cutting to you as you are a whizz kidd with a scalpelHahaha you should see the state of my fingers and the size of my plasticard "scraps" box!!
When I replied earlier I did't realise that it was a detailed relief carving.
Can you confirm if this is the Marchioness of Lorne? No paddle crests and the forward main deck saloon seems longer. Was it rebuilt?http://www.flickr.com/photos/44850481@N05/4420085920/
