Well, to be perfectly honest with you all. I found this Forum by accident, and I will explain how!

In the 1990s, my family and I travelled on the Balmoral from Ilfracombe to Swansea, a few times. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Having retired now, we travelled on the Balmoral from Portsmouth on the 27th June, around the Isle of Wight; celebrating Balmorals Diamond Birthday. It was a great day out. We nearly didnt go, as we were expecting Builders in that day, but we were let down. So I said to my Wife prior to that, that the PS Waverley will be down in Sept 5th, we will go on that.As e havent been on her before. Then we heard the News concerning Pier Bashing, and the rest you know!

Anyway, my friend is also interested in PS Waverley, and I broke the news to him what recently happened. He saw the Waverley, a week prior. So then, I remembered as a young lad the Portsmouth - Isle of Wight, with Southsea, Shanklin, Brading etc. And have now found the latest on PS Ryde, on this very Forum. Thats the reason, which I am here, as it would be against my principles taking the News, and not joining.

Keep up the goodwork, Admin; and to everybody? :)

Thanks for your welcome Eddy. But I must say its pretty quiet on this Forum so far. Are all the Memberers on the Waverley and Balmoral at present?

Bear in mind that we're a very minority interest in modelling terms, so you'll never see hundreds of messages, but yes it has been very quiet over the last couple of weeks!!

Don't worry though, all forums go through busy and quiet periods..... Rest assured that we're all still here and will answer any questions you may have!

Regards
Eddy
