I have made a start listing the holdings of photos at State Library of Victoria, classifying them by Paddleducks thread.
There are 646, possibly more. Most of them are Murray River paddlesteamers.
There are some Gippsland, some Port Phillip Bay, some Yarra River, and quite a few international ones while in port in Melbourne.
There are also some index entries, but with no photo, and a few red herrings.
Here is an unknown one: a rusting hulk at Gallipoli.
The captioning is vague: It could have been PS
Thames, but equally it could have been a Thames River paddlesteamer.
How did the photographer know that anyhow? It could be almost anything. I am having trouble even discerning a paddlewheel.
I do plan to put in time identifying the unknown local ones, but this one is beyond my time or ability.
Presumably it is possible to order a proper copy, and that might offer much better detail for identification.
Perhaps so few went, that the list of possibilities has been documented already by a UK researcher?
