New to everything

I am beginning to learn about metal lathes and mills. I am learning a lot. I like to read about and want to try to build steam engines to start with, so will be hanging around reading as much as you have to teach me, which is more than I will be able to learn in a lifetime. Thanks for letting me be here and sharing you knowledge.

I live in Oregon, where there is a lot of water, but I don't boat other than to go fishing in one. I like to go out on the ocean, but have a real healthy respect for it as it can be a dangerious place, I've learned through the years of fishing on it.
