Hi All

Just a quick post from the Isle of Wight.

Been a modeller for many many years, used to play on the Medway Queen and the Ryde Queen (RIP) as a scruffy teenager, later get drunk on the Ryde Queen when she became a night club. Happy Days.

The Blurb on Model Boats showed me the way to this web site, I look forward to making many new friends.

My next project is the Medway Queen, bought the plan set from the preservation society, plus got loads of pictures taken when she was berthed at Binfield and of her once she had been dragged out into the medina before being loaded onto the barge for her journey home. Will post when I get them onto digital media.

Regards

Geoff Lewis

Welcome to Paddleducks Geoff, good to have you with us.....

The Medway Queen is a grand old lady, and it would be timely to model her now, just as she's being restored back to her former glory.... I eagerley await your build, and I hope we get lots of photos as you progress?

Regards
Eddy

Welcome Geoff, I have already posted a message to you re Portsmouth Paddle tugs. You have chosen one of my favourite paddlers to build! Well done!
If you ever leave  IOW to visit the big smoke ( I wouldnt want to - I love the island) why not take the time to visit the Medway Queen offices at Rochester?. They will make you most welcome. (Ring in advance if possible).I am pretty certain they have a model of the Quee there plus a lot of other information. Also, why not make a day of it and visit Kingswear Castle at Chatham. Now THERES a good day out!. Cheers, walter
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.
