Hello, I just bought myself a lathe and wanted to start a simple project - what kind of steam engine model would you recommend for a newbie?
many thanks

Hi Thomas,
Welcome to the site. If you are looking for a starter project check out the engines on this link;
http://jpduval.free.fr/Plans_moteurs_vapeur_p1.htm
It is in French but with the help of Google Translate you can muddle through. once you can access the downloads section there are loads of designs in it. What type of lathe did you get, and what experience do you have?
Regards,
Gerald

Hi Gerald,
Thanks for your answer. French will be fine - it's my first language! I have a Clarke LM300, and very little experience, so I am looking for projects to get some practise
cheers
