Great news, so Hans' job is safe, and the team now have a place on the grid....

But now Renault are talking of quitting F1.....

All sorts of F1 news this week....

Renault will stay in F1, although with a minority shareholding in the team.

Ex F1 drivers will become part of the team of officials at each race, which is meant to give better and more level handed decisions on any penalties that are handed out by the stewards etc.

Michael Schumacher is still rumoured to be making a comeback next season.

Silverstone has eventually been given a 17 yr contract to stage the British GP.

New points scoring system, which will mean the top 10 cars will all score points. 25 points for first, 20 points for second, 15 points for third, 10 points for fourth, 8 points for fifth, then 6, 5, 3, 2, 1....

Canada will return to host an F1 race, and South Korea will also stage one for the first time... There will be a total of 19 races in 2010, which equals the record set in 2005 (last year there were 17 races).

Regards
Eddy

Lotus F1 have confirmed Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen as their drivers for the 2010 Formula 1 season.

Trulli joins the new Malaysian-backed team from Toyota, while Kovalainen moves after he was left without a seat due to Jenson Button's move to McLaren.

More news.....

Sauber have signed Japan's Kamui Kobayashi as one of their two race drivers for the 2010 Formula 1 season. Kobayashi was the test driver for Toyota in 2008 and 2009. Last year he stood in for the injured Timo Glock in the last two races of the season, finishing a very creditable sixth in the final race at Abu Dhabi.

Mercedes boss Nick Fry has dropped the strongest hint yet that Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher will come out of retirement to race next year in the renamed Brawn GP team.

Hi PD's,

as Eddy said, we have now Kobayashi as a driver, everyone who has seen him last year driving for Toyota will agree, he seems to be a good one a fighter, keep the fingers crossed he can show as much as in his first races. We try our best to give him a reliable car to show his best.

Sauber have signed McLaren reserve driver Pedro de la Rosa to complete their driver line-up for 2010.

De la Rosa, 38, has spent seven years as test driver at McLaren but will now return to racing for the first time since 2006.

Hi PD's,

last year at this time i was really excited to see what we can achieve in 2009 after a good 2008 season.

But this year i am more then nervous, two new driver, some new rules and we are again a Private owned team. My only wish for 2010 is to show the guys in Munich we can build a reliable and fast car, a better one then we had last year with BMW.
