What an exciting race, not the result i would prefere but a lot of action, nice fights like Heidfeld/Alonso and Kubica/Hamilton i hope the next race will be better for us :-\

Hi Paddleducks,

it is no longer the most exciting Formula1 season :( after 11 races with only 8 championship points for our team, we had an disappointing season. This wasn't enough, BMW announced today to leave the F1 at the end of the season. i can't say what i think or feel so far :'(

I hope we can do the same as the Ex-Honda Now-Brawn team, keep the fingers crossed for us( for me)

After thinking about it for a while, I feel that BMW may not be the only major manufacturer to pull out of F1, with the current economic climate.

I'm sure that another source for engines can be found, and as you say, maybe it will be a good thing in the long run?

More news just being released is that Michael Schumacher will drive for Ferrari in the European GP to replace the injured Fillipe Massa. Massa is unlikely to drive again this season due to his injuries, but his progress is good.... Doctors hope he will leave hospital next week and fly home to Brazil.

Fingers firmly crossed hans.  I'm sure it's not beyond Swiss ingenuity to come up with a new power source and, hopefully, follow Brawn into a better future (with excellent suspension components of course)  ;)

Good news..... Filipe Massa has been released from hospital after his horrifying accident, and flew home to Sao Paulo, Brazil, yesterday.

Considering he underwent major surgery to his fractured skull and left eye only 10 days ago he looks in remarkably good condition! Here's to a speedy recovery....

Welllllll,it appears M.Schumacher may be stepping into the empty Ferrari seat for the remainder of the season.Has he still got it?Is the Ferrari fast enough?This could get exciting.
I hope Felipe recovers fully from that horrendous crash.He seems a nice lad.

i think Schumacher is good enough to do this job, but it could be the end of Kimis Raikkonens carrer, if Michael is faster then he, Raikkonen could be replaced by Alonso.

that could be a blessing for F1.
I don't wish to sound contraversial on my first posting, but I have always thought that Raikkonen is an absolutely awful ambasador for the F1 drivers.
He hated Shumie having such a possition in the Ferarri team after retirement and made his opinions known verbally.
I think it will make a great change and an invigorating refresher to the exciting year that we have been having, and if Raikkonen goes, I don't think he will be any great loss to the sport.

Good morning all PD's,

for me yesterday was Christmas, Easter and birthday at one day, we were told, Mr. Sauber has bought the team back from BMW.

There is one bad thing, they had to dismiss 138 employees, but luckily i will continue with the team and our new-old owner. I can not promise you we will do it like BRAWN this year but we will try our best. I am looking forward to the new season.

Hello Hans, most excellent news for you. It is a pity for the other employees but once the team are competing and running as in the past then the opportunity to rejoin the team may come around again.

Great news Hans!

The annoying part of all this is that Peter Sauber wanted to buy the team back as soon as BMW quit, but they said no and went for a higher offer. Now that the original deal has fallen through, they have gone back to Peter Sauber again - Typical!

We can only hope that the new team gets the 13th position on the grid, now that Toyota have withdrawn from F1.

So it's not all sorted yet, but it looks promising!! :)
