De- lurking
« on: November 14, 2008, 02:53:30 PM »
I've been lurking around the board for awhile and watching its ebb and flow. I finally decided to join up and hopefully try to add something to the obviously friendly discourse I've been enjoying. I figure it only fair to introduce myself after watching from the sidelines. I note several rather familiar faces among the crew, so I figure I must be in the right place....(grin).

I'm not a big boat guy but anything live steam related is of interest here. I've recently begun designing and building my own steam engines, in order to add to my growing collection. I'm still learning on a lot of levels and I've found forums like this one to be a great place to do so.

Anyway.... Hi gang

Johnboy....
You certainly do get around, my friend...LOL. Good to see you. Bandit's never looked better.

Andreas....
Grab a fresh cuppa coffee and some jelly do-nuts. You could be there a while.
The collection is located at The Steam Gallery

Hi Steve,
Great site. The #80 on your site is crying out to be installed in a launch.

Gerald
Be wary of strong drink. It can make you shoot at tax collectors--and miss. Lazarus Long

That little engine caused quite a stir when I bought it. Jensen collectors went a bit crazy and I finally wound up selling it to one of them. That sometimes happens when someone wants it a lot more than I do. He REALLY wanted it....LOL. It's now in a premier Jensen collection in Maryland.

Steve,

The internet is making the world a lot smaller! I didn't realize you were here too!

Eric...
Think of me as the internet equivalent of a bad penny....(grin) Besides... Bogster needs lots of adult supervision. Welcome to the duck pond.
