Hi, I've Just joined. I have been making scratch built model sail ships for many years and, I now, have an interest in steam powered model ships. I have just made my first steam engine, a V twin oscillating engine, which is working fine and is powering a steam launch. I am now attempting to  build a steam drifter and will be looking for advice from you masters of steam.

Welcome Melvyn,

There are a number of gentlemen here that have experience in steam, both full size and scale. I'm sure they''l be glad to give advice as soon as they've awoken.  And remember, It always helps to have specific questions.

is there some sort of post to download ratio that  stops me downloading. it's just that I have nothing relevant to say at the moment as I am a newbie at steam engines but I am finding this site interesting and useful.

Ooops!!

I hold my hand up to the problem Melvyn!! I was mucking around with some code to setup a download ratio yesterday, and it obviously attacked your account - It wasn't supposed to do that... Well not yet anyway!

I've sorted the problem, so you should be able to download okay again now. If there are any further issues, please let me know.

Regards (and apologies)
Eddy
